Our founder, Richard Westley Wong, is a Canadian-born Chinese dual citizen of the United States. He studied Business Management and Studio Art at Gustavus Adolphus College. After six years in the corporate retail sector, he transitioned from business to study photography at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where he earned a Post-Baccalaureate in Photography. Following his studies, Richard freelanced at the General Mills Photography Studio and was later recruited for an on-staff shooting position at PureRed, where he shot for Supervalu. One year later, he had the honor of opening his own studio, serving a growing roster of incredible clients.

Today, Richard is a Minneapolis-based commercial food photographer who creates imagery for local, national, and international brands. With 20 years of experience, he brings a fresh perspective, highly effective visuals, and a passion for connecting people to the stories behind his images.
